MiniMax H3 Max Video to Video

Editing an existing clip is not on the MiniMax H3 Max API. It is on MiniMax H3, the base model, which also does 2K — so that is the engine here, at the same rate per second.
Upload a clip and say what should change. MiniMax H3 Max video to video requests build you a new 4-to-15-second take.
Your file is never touched. Nothing here edits it — see below.

The short answer

Does MiniMax H3 Max Edit Video?

No. MiniMax H3 Max does text to video and image to video. Editing or continuing a clip you already have is a MiniMax H3 capability, and MiniMax H3 is what runs this page. Checked 2 September 2026.

You are not charged a higher rate for it. MiniMax H3 Max video to video runs at 40 credits a second at 768P — the same rate as every other page here — and MiniMax H3 adds 2K on top, which MiniMax H3 Max does not have.
What you trade is speed. MiniMax H3 Max is the faster model, which is why it runs text to video.

Two neighbours worth knowing:
· Your clip only supplying a camera move or a cutting rhythm? That is reference to video, not this page.
· Want the task-type system field by field? That guide lives on our MiniMax H3 site.

Four task types

Four Jobs People Call Video to Video

MiniMax H3 declares what it is doing before it does it, and these four are four different declarations.
Picking the wrong one is the most common reason a result drifts. The switcher above sets it for you — this is what each one means.

  • Restyle — the look changes, the action stays

Describe only the new look and leave everything else alone. Anything you mention becomes fair game to change.
Motion and timing survive best. Surfaces, lighting and grade are what move.

    Survives
    Action, timing, composition
    Moves
    Surfaces, lighting, grade
  • Re-voice — new words, same face

Write the line short enough to fit the seconds you asked for, or the lips will not land. The preflight will tell you before you spend anything.

    Survives
    Identity, scene
    Moves
    The line, lip sync
  • Continue — pick up where the clip stopped

Your clip is the run-up. Describe what happens after the last frame, not what already happened in it.

    Survives
    Subject, scene, style
    Moves
    What happens next
  • Move the camera — borrow the move, drop the subject

    [reference generation]

Your clip supplies only the movement. Describe the new subject and say nothing about the move itself — name it twice and you can no longer tell which instruction the camera followed.
Officially this is reference generation, not editing. It is set up on reference to video.

    Survives
    Camera path and rhythm
    Moves
    Subject and scene, entirely

The bracketed names are MiniMax's own task-type prefixes. We do not make you type them — the job switcher writes them. Two or more can combine, which is what happens when you keep the original soundtrack on a restyle.

The thing to understand

Nothing Is Edited. It Is Regenerated

This is not a video editor. The model does not open your file and change parts of it.

It watches your clip, then generates a brand-new one. Your original is never modified — it is not even written to.

That single fact explains the two things people find confusing here.

  • Things you never mentioned can still change

Anything you did not pin down was regenerated, not copied across. That is not a bug — it is what "generated" means.

  • So pin down what matters

Name the things that have to survive: the wardrobe, the framing, the timing. The more specific the sentence, the more of your clip comes back.

It also means a failed run costs you nothing and leaves your source exactly as it was. Combining several assets into a scene that never existed is a different job — that is reference to video.

Audio

Where Your Soundtrack Goes

Your clip's own audio is part of the input, so it needs a decision. Three routes, set right in the panel.

If you do not choose, sound you never asked for turns up — that is the usual explanation for "where did that music come from". The panel defaults to Keep it whole and says so.

  • Keep it whole

The original soundtrack comes through unchanged. Best for restyles where the scene is the same scene.

    [+ audio reuse]
  • Keep it under new dialogue

The original stays but ducks under whatever line you wrote. This is the one re-voice usually wants.

    [+ audio reuse]
  • Motion only

The picture is used and the sound is dropped. Start clean, and let the model generate new audio with the new picture.

Writing dialogue rather than reusing it? The speaker and language format is the same one used in text to video.

Pricing

What One Video to Video Run Costs

A MiniMax H3 Max video to video run has two billed lines: your source, by its own length, and your output, by the seconds you asked for. Both every time, at the same rate.
Nothing else moves the number — not the job you picked, not the soundtrack route, not the frame shape.

Output, per second30 credits65 credits
6s source → 5s out330 credits715 credits
15s source → 15s out900 credits1,950 credits

Credits are what you are actually charged. On Pro that is $2.19 for the 330-credit run.

  • Trim before you upload. If only four seconds of a fifteen-second file matter, upload those four. Source seconds cost what output seconds cost, so this is the single biggest saving on this page.
  • Resolution is the only multiplier. Not the job, not the audio route, not the frame shape.
  • A run that fails costs nothing, and your source is untouched.

Where free stops, and why there is no trial here

There is no free clip on this page. The free engine cannot take a video input at all, and the MiniMax H3 Max trial clips run on a model that does not edit video.
So everything before the render is open instead: upload, pick a job, read the exact price, run the preflight.
Paid starts at $9.9 a month, and commercial use is permitted under the upstream provider's terms.

Read the rest of the row before you quote it: Gemini Omni Flash is three points behind at 1,124 and the intervals overlap. That is a tie, not a win. The claim that holds cleanly is narrower and more useful — H3 is the only open-weights model on that board, and it is at the top of it.
When to use something else: Runway Aleph 2.0 sits sixth here, but it performs real edits on your file and takes longer clips. If you need a surgical change to footage you cannot afford to have redrawn, that is the tool.

How the two MiniMax engines compare goes through the rest.

Three steps

How to Use Video to Video Here

Three steps, and your original file comes out the other side untouched.

  1. Upload the clip you already have

Two to fifteen seconds, up to three clips, fifteen seconds combined. Trim first if only part of it matters — source seconds are billed.

    ≤ 3 clips
  2. Pick the job, then say what changes

Restyle, re-voice or continue. Describe only what should be different — the rest is likelier to stay.

    Restyle · Re-voice · Continue
  3. Pick 768P or 2K, then download

Four to fifteen seconds out, sound handled the way you chose. A failed run costs no credits.

    24 fps · up to 2K

That is the whole browser path: nothing to install, no GPU, no API key.

Questions people actually ask

MiniMax H3 Max Video to Video FAQ

What runs it, what it costs, and what happens to the clip you bring

Does MiniMax H3 Max do video to video?

Not directly. MiniMax H3 Max handles text to video and image to video; editing or continuing an existing clip is a MiniMax H3 capability, and MiniMax H3 is the engine behind this page. The per-second rate is the same either way — 40 credits a second at 768P — and MiniMax H3 also outputs 2K, which MiniMax H3 Max cannot. What you give up is speed, not rate or quality.

What is the difference between restyle, re-voice and continue?

Restyle changes how the clip looks while the action and timing stay. Re-voice keeps the person and the room and replaces what they say, with the lips re-synced. Continue treats your clip as a run-up and generates what happens after the last frame. A fourth thing people ask for — borrowing a camera move and dropping the subject — is officially reference generation and is set up on the reference to video page instead.

Does it edit my original file?

No. Nothing is edited. The model watches your clip and generates a separate new one, so your original is never modified or overwritten. This is also why things you did not mention can change: unmentioned parts are regenerated rather than copied across. Name whatever has to survive — the wardrobe, the framing, the timing — and more of your clip comes back.

How is a video to video run billed?

Two lines are billed, both at the same per-second rate: your source clip by its own length, and your output by the seconds you asked for. There is no per-run fee and nothing else on the bill. A six-second source and a five-second output at 768P comes to 330 credits. That makes trimming the source before you upload the single biggest saving available on this page: if only four seconds of a fifteen-second file matter, upload those four.

Why does my result have sound I never asked for?

Your clip's own soundtrack is part of the input, and by default it is kept whole. Switch the soundtrack route to Motion only if you want to start clean. The three routes.

Why did my lip sync miss?

Almost always because the written line is longer than the seconds you asked for. The preflight measures this before you spend anything.

How long can my source clip be?

Two to fifteen seconds per clip, up to three clips, fifteen seconds combined. Full input limits.

What happens to the clip I upload?

It goes to the model that reads it and nowhere else. It is never modified — the model writes a separate new file. We do not train on it and we do not sell it, and anything you make while signed in can be deleted from My Creations in one click.

Can I get 2K here?

Yes. 2K is a MiniMax H3 capability, so this page and reference to video are the two places on the site that can produce it.

Do I need an account, and is there a free trial?

An account, yes. A free trial clip for this mode, no — the free engine cannot take a video input. Upload, pricing and preflight are all open without signing in. What free does cover.

Bring the Clip You Already Have

Restyle it, re-voice it, or carry it on past where it stopped. MiniMax H3 Max video to video gives you a new 4-to-15-second take and leaves your original exactly as it was.
