MiniMax H3 Max pricing
A 5-second MiniMax H3 Max clip at 768P is 100 credits — about $0.66 on Pro. Three takes is normal, so budget $1.96 a finished clip. Both numbers are on this page, and the second one is the one to plan with.

Yearly is 33% less and gives the same monthly credits. Each card shows two clip counts: what you get if you keep the first generation, and what you get at three takes. The second number is the honest one.

The trade is the per-credit price: a pack costs about twice what a yearly plan costs per credit. Starter works out to exactly what Lite costs month-to-month — the plan just keeps handing them to you.
Before you read the prices
Five things that are true on every plan here
- A failed generation never costs credits — every plan, free included
- Resolution is the only multiplier. Aspect ratio, audio, image input and prompt help don't change the rate
- Commercial use — permitted under the upstream provider's terms, from $9.90 up
- 7 days to change your mind on a first payment, while the credits are untouched
- No countdown anywhere on this page. Our rates are pegged to MiniMax's published list price, not to what we pay
MiniMax H3 Max cost per video, once you count the retakes
More than one generation. Because you'll re-run it.
Every MiniMax H3 Max pricing page in this category quotes one generation. Here's the arithmetic in the open, on Pro yearly.
Two things fall out of that table, and neither one is in our interest.
- Drafting only pays from your third take
- Break-even is 2.86One or two takes and you should go straight to 768P. "Always test at 480P first" is only good advice for people who iterate.
- A finished MiniMax H3 Max clip is about $1.96 on Pro
- Not $0.66That's the number that belongs in a budget. Every plan above is labelled with both figures for exactly this reason.
What can a 480P draft actually tell you?
Worth being specific, because "just test cheap first" is easy advice to give and easy to get wrong.
- It will tell you
- Whether the idea works at all · whether the camera move is the one you meant · how the motion reads · whether the timing fits your cut · whether the audio lands
- It won't tell you
- Fine detail · small text · how a face reads at a distance · fabric and skin texture
- So
- If your shot lives or dies on any of those, use one draft to lock composition, then judge at 768P.
If you pay by the second, why care how fast it renders? Fair question, and someone put it exactly that way in a thread about this model. Speed isn't in the price — 20 credits a second is 20 credits a second. What speed changes is how many takes you'll sit through. Three takes on a slow model is most of an afternoon, and you stop early: not out of credits, out of patience. That part is free here: P50 8.7s for a 5-second 768P clip, measured on this site across 412 runs, so three takes is under a minute.
Try the loop before you pay for it — 3 free clips, no card
What does a month of MiniMax H3 Max cost?
Most people who land on this MiniMax H3 Max pricing page are doing one of three things. Find yours, or put your own volume into the calculator. All three assume three takes per finished clip.
Two videos a month
A founder, a shop, a one-person brand.
You post when you have something to say. It needs to look right rather than to look prolific.
2 finished clips = 1,150 credits.
Lite, $9.90 a month. You'd use 96% of it.
If a third comes up:
Lite plus a Starter pack is $19.80. Pro is $19.90. Ten cents more for twice the credits — take Pro.
One or two hooks a week
Testing ad variants.
Same product, different opening line, different first three seconds. How many you can try matters more than any single one.
6 finished clips = 3,450 credits.
Pro, $19.90 a month. You'd use 86% of it.
Why drafting earns its keep here:
It saves about 4% a clip, but more importantly it kills a bad idea in seconds instead of after a full render.
If five takes is your normal:
Pro is 4 finished clips a month, not 6. Put your real number in the calculator.
Something out most days
Client work, or feeding a channel.
Volume is the job, and someone else needs access to the library.
24 finished clips = 13,800 credits.
Studio, $59.90 a month. You'd use 99% of it.
At this volume
the seats, the project folders and the one-month rollover start mattering more than the per-credit price does.
Which plan is cheapest for you. By finished clips a month — 1 to 3: Lite. 4 to 12: Pro. 13 and up: Studio. If you genuinely keep first generations those thresholds move to 11 and 38, and the calculator takes your own number. Most people are in the first set, which is why the cards say 1–3, 4–12 and 13+ instead of the bigger numbers we could honestly have printed.
MiniMax H3 Max price per second, and what that means per clip
These are the exact rates the MiniMax H3 Max generator charges. Nothing is rounded up behind the scenes.
Three engines, three published prices at 768P — $0.04, $0.06 and $0.08 a second — and we pass the ratio straight through rather than averaging it. The cheapest of the three is the one already selected. See how the two MiniMax engines differ
1 credit = $0.002 of the engine's published price at fal. That is the entire MiniMax H3 Max rate card, and you can check every row of it against fal's own model pages.
What one MiniMax H3 Max generation costs on each plan
One generation on the default engine — not one finished clip. Multiply by your takes, or let the calculator do it.
- 5s · 480P — 65 credits
- $0.54 on Lite · $0.43 on Pro · $0.35 on Studio
- 5s · 768P — 100 credits
- $0.83 on Lite · $0.66 on Pro · $0.54 on Studio
- 10s · 768P — 200 credits
- $1.65 on Lite · $1.33 on Pro · $1.09 on Studio
- 15s · 768P — 300 credits
- $2.48 on Lite · $1.99 on Pro · $1.63 on Studio
- 5s · 2K on MiniMax H3 — 325 credits
- $2.68 on Lite · $2.16 on Pro · $1.77 on Studio
Budget on takes, not on finished clips — and test at 480P first, which is exactly what it's there for.
MiniMax H3 Max pricing: where your dollar actually goes
A 5-second 768P MiniMax H3 Max generation is about $0.66 on Pro. fal lists the default engine at $0.04 a second. So 20¢ of that 66 is the model.
The other 46¢ pays for rendering capacity we hold so you're not queued behind a free tier, storage and delivery of every clip you've ever made, the retries that don't cost you, a workspace that keeps your prompts and presets, payment processing and tax, and a person who answers email. You'd have worked that ratio out yourself. It's cheaper for us to just print it.
Why doesn't your price move when the model's price does? Our supplier's launch promotion ends on 7 September 2026. Our rates don't change that day, because they were never set against the promotional price — they're set against fal's public list price, which is why you can verify them. When the promotion ends, our margin changes and your rates don't.
Use that to check other pages too. If you see 768P selling for under about $0.20 per five seconds anywhere, that site is either still riding the launch promo or selling below cost. Either way, the price you're looking at isn't the price you'll pay in a month.
Already have a fal API key? Then fal is cheaper for you and you should use it. We sell the workspace, not a margin on compute — this page exists so you can make that call with real numbers. What fal charges for MiniMax H3 Max, endpoint by endpoint

Everyone here sells the same model at a different MiniMax H3 Max price. This is what differs. Every cell is something we read on their page on 2 September 2026, and every one links to the page we read it on. A blank means we couldn't find it stated — not that the answer is no.

What MiniMax H3 Max pricing does not buy you
Cheaper to tell you now than to refund you later. All six are properties of the model, not policies we chose.
No 2K on ⚡ Instant. It tops out at 768P. Need 2K? Switch to 🎬 Standard (MiniMax H3) — same balance, 65 credits a second.
No reference image or reference video on Instant. MiniMax hasn't opened that endpoint on H3 Max yet. Reference input runs on Standard today, and Studio gets the Max endpoint first when it ships.
No middle keyframes — first and last frame only. Both of those work, and they're free. Image to video
5 to 15 whole seconds. Not 4, not 30. Longer pieces get cut together from several clips.
No weights, no local runs. MiniMax H3 is open-weight; H3 Max is not. A lot of pages get this wrong, so it's worth knowing before you plan around it.
No promised success rate, and we won't put a number on it. What we do instead: a failed generation costs nothing, and your first payment is refundable for 7 days.

MiniMax H3 Max credits: what gets charged, and what doesn't
The whole MiniMax H3 Max pricing formula is seconds × engine × resolution. Everything below is either part of that, or free.
What the meter counts
Metered.
Seconds × engine × resolution. A retry is a new generation at the same rate.
Never metered.
Aspect ratio, native audio, first and last frame, image input, prompt help, previews, downloads, re-downloads, storage.
One balance.
Covers both engines and every resolution. No per-model wallet, no minimum spend.
When something goes wrong, or you want to sell the result
Definitive failure returns the credits.
Upstream error, timeout or moderation rejection — credits come back automatically and the task shows why.
Unknown outcome is held, then settled.
Credits stay reserved until we reconcile, usually within the hour, then return or settle. You're told which of the two you're in.
Moderation happens upstream at MiniMax, not here.
We pass their reason back verbatim rather than paraphrasing it, and a rejection costs nothing.
Commercial use — permitted under the upstream provider's terms, on any paid plan.
Rights come from MiniMax and fal. We pass them through and add nothing of our own: no separate licence fee, no watermark on paid output. Free and trial clips carry no watermark either; they are licensed for personal and evaluation use only. Every generation records which provider rendered it, so you always know which terms applied.
